Anita Hebert

Anita Hebert currently serves as Superintendent at Shallowater Independent School District since July 2020. Prior to this role, Anita held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum at Magnolia Independent School District from May 2012 to July 2020. Anita's experience also includes serving as Executive Director of Curriculum and Director of English Language Arts at Magnolia ISD from July 2004 to April 2012, and Principal at Nichols Sawmill Elementary from June 2002 to June 2004 and Clifton Elementary School from July 1998 to May 2002. Earlier in the career, Anita was a Teacher at Clint Independent School District from July 1997 to May 1998. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, graduate study in English/Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Hardin-Simmons University, and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching from Hardin-Simmons University.
