Joel Overfelt

Joel Overfelt started their work experience in 2011 as a Porter at Jack Miller Kia, where they worked until 2017. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as an English Teacher at Eemom Foreign Language Training School - BeidaFuzhong Yunnan Test School. Currently, they are employed at Shamrock Trading Corporation as a Financial Account Representative in the Mandarin-Speaking Team, starting in November 2021.

Joel Overfelt attended The University of Kansas from 2014 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Chinese Language and Literature and a minor in Business. During their time at the university, Joel also participated in a study abroad program at Yunnan University, focusing on Intensive Chinese Language (Mandarin).

Furthermore, Joel holds additional certifications that enhance their language and teaching skills. In 2017, they obtained a TEFL certificate from the CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange. Additionally, in September 2020, Joel obtained a Level 6 Certificate, the highest level, in the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) from the Confucius Institute Headquarters.
