Chris Robertson

Chris Robertson has a rich and diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Chris began their career as a geologist with Noranda, where they worked as a field exploration geologist in Southeast Alaska. Chris then worked with Urangesellschaft USA, Inc. as a geologist, primarily focusing on uranium exploration in the Lake Superior region. After this, they joined Minerals Exploration Co. as a geologist for a short period.

In 1981, Chris began working with BP Amoco as a senior geologist, where they gained valuable experience for nearly 8 years. Following this, they joined Squier Associates as an Associate after graduating from Berkeley. During their time at Squier Associates, they completed the ASFE Fundamentals of Professional Practice course and earned a promotion to Associate in 1994.

Since 1995, Chris has been associated with Shannon & Wilson, Inc., where they initially joined as a Principal Engineer and project manager. Over the years, they received promotions and currently serves as a Vice President. In 2012, they took on the role of California Regional Manager, responsible for offices in Sacramento and Southern California.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated their expertise in geology and professional growth, consistently taking on challenging roles and responsibilities.

Chris Robertson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology from the University of Washington from 1972 to 1976. Chris then pursued further education at the same university from 1972 to 1981 and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geology. In 1989 and 1990, they attended Portland State University for Master of Science (MS) studies in Civil Engineering. Later, they studied at the University of California, Berkeley from 1990 to 1991, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Additionally, Chris Robertson obtained several professional certifications, including Professional Engineer in Alaska in 2007, Geotechnical Engineer in Oregon in 2006, Licensed Engineering Geologist in Washington in 2001, Geotechnical Engineer in California in 1999, Professional Engineer in Washington in 1993, and Civil Engineer in California in 1993.
