Michelle Carter

Michelle Carter has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Michelle began their career in 2005 as a Resident Hall Security Guard at VCU Police Dept. In 2007, they transitioned to DCPS as a Health and Physical Education Teacher, and later became a PE Teacher at District of Columbia Public Schools. In 2013, Michelle joined SHAPE America as a Senior Program Manager, where they managed and coordinated various projects and developed strong relationships with members, sponsors, and staff. Michelle eventually took on the role of Director of Educational Content and Programs, utilizing their skills in customer service, relationship-building, and process improvement to increase efficiency.

Michelle Carter attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education.
