Csongor Szabo

Csongor Szabo has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Csongor started their career in 2004 at National Instruments as a Test Software Developer, where they were responsible for the development of visual inspection modules and ICT development. In 2006, they joined Nokia Siemens Networks as a Software Design Engineer, working on the development of a proprietary in-memory database and test automation framework.

In 2007, Szabo moved to Graphisoft as a Software Design Engineer, where they contributed to the development of ArchiCAD's TeamWork groupware module, user interaction module, and BimX app for iOS and desktop applications. Csongor remained with the company until 2011.

From 2011 to 2014, Szabo returned to National Instruments as a Sr. Programmer Analyst, focusing on programming and analysis.

In 2014, they joined Prezi as a Sr. Software Engineer & Team Lead, where they played a key role in the development and team leadership for the mobile editing experience and core rendering functionalities.

In 2016, Szabo transitioned to AImotive, initially as a Research Team Lead for Planning and Motion before becoming the R&D Manager of the aiDrive department. Then, they took on the role of Research Team Lead for Proximity Sensing (Sensor Fusion) until September 2020.

Csongor'smost recent role is with Shapr3D as an Engineering Manager and Code Mangler, starting in September 2020. Overall, Szabo's work experience showcases a strong background in software development, team leadership, and research in various industries.

Csongor Szabo's education history includes obtaining a Nanodegree in Self-Driving Car Engineering from Udacity in 2017-2018. Prior to that, from 2000-2004, they attended Universitatea Politehnica din Timisoara and earned an MSc degree in Control Engineering and Computer Science. In 1999-2000, they studied Computer Science at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, although the degree obtained is unspecified. Additionally, Csongor Szabo has acquired several certifications, such as "Neural Networks for Machine Learning" and "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization", from Coursera in 2017. Csongor has also completed various robotics-related courses from Coursera, including "Robotics: Aerial Robotics", "Robotics: Perception", "Control of Mobile Robots", and "Robotics: Computational Motion Planning" in 2016. In 2014, they obtained a certification in "Machine Learning" from Coursera as well.
