Álvaro Baquedano Simón

Álvaro Baquedano Simón has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and research. Álvaro currently works as an R&D Engineer at ShareID since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Deep Learning Researcher at Universidad Pública de Navarra from January 2020 to September 2020. Álvaro also served as an ICS Cybersecurity Engineer at S21sec from February 2019 to July 2020.

Álvaro has experience as a Computer Vision Engineer at VISIONA Control Industrial S.L. from February 2018 to February 2019. In this role, they developed and executed Computer Vision projects, including the development of Computer Vision algorithms using OpenCV and C++, as well as graphical user interfaces using Qt and C++.

Álvaro previously worked as a Research and Development Intern at Universidad Pública de Navarra from November 2017 to February 2018. Álvaro also gained experience as a Computer Vision Research Intern at ESIEE PARIS from January 2017 to June 2017, where they worked on a Computer Vision project applied to UAVs, developing image processing and target detection algorithms using OpenCV and C++.

Additionally, Álvaro has interned at M.Torres Diseños Industriales, SAU, both as a Software Engineering Intern in July 2015 and as an Information Technology Intern in June 2014.

Álvaro Baquedano Simón completed their M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering at the Universidad Pública de Navarra from 2017 to 2020. During their studies, they focused on Computer Science with a GPA of 8.1/10. Prior to their master's degree, they pursued a B.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering at the same university from 2013 to 2017, specializing in Computer Science and achieving a GPA of 7.4/10.
