Alaa Mohammed is an experienced art professional with a diverse background in educational and outreach programs. Currently serving as Learning Programs Coordinator at Sharjah Art Foundation since January 2020, Alaa previously held the position of Outreach Assistant within the same organization from 2018 to 2019, following a six-month internship focusing on adult learning programs. As an Art Workshop Instructor, Alaa has conducted various workshops for children, including freestyle painting, printmaking, and watercolors. Prior experience includes working as an Art Consultant for Sharjah Children, developing programs for children aged 6 to 12, and teaching art at the Saif Biladi Summer Camp through the Ministry of Education – UAE. Alaa also contributed as a Budget Accountant for the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority during the A Drop of Water Festival. Educational qualifications include an Artist Residency in Fine/Studio Arts from The Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Design from the University of Sharjah.
