Mammad Kuniyil

Mammad Kuniyil has over two decades of experience in risk management and credit analytics within the banking sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Risk Management at Sharjah Islamic Bank since January 2006, Mammad oversees the implementation of Basel II for credit risk across the bank and engages in central bank meetings in the UAE. Previously, Mammad worked as Manager of Credit Analytics at The Saudi British Bank, where responsibilities included coordinating operational risk management and implementing Basel II standards. Mammad began a career in auditing at Ernst & Young, focusing on statutory and internal audits. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce from Calicut University and an Accounting Professional qualification from ICAI.
