Hussain Al Mahmoudi is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in innovation and business development. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park since December 2015, Hussain leads efforts to build an innovation ecosystem. Hussain is also the President of the IASP West Asia North Africa Division as of December 2023. Previously, Hussain held the CEO position at American University of Sharjah Enterprises until September 2023 and served as Director General at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry from August 2008 to December 2015. Hussain's leadership roles extend to being President of the UAE Chapter of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and founder of Bridge Consultancy INC. Additionally, Hussain has held senior positions at Shell and Dubai Internet City. Educational qualifications include an Executive Education in Systematic Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, General Management from Harvard Business School, and an MBA from American University of Sharjah, alongside a degree in Economics and Communications from Seattle Pacific University.

Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park Free Zone (SRTI Park) was established in 2016 by the royal decree of His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It was mandated to develop and manage an innovation ecosystem that promotes Research and Development (R&D) and supports enterprise activities, utilizing the triple helix collaboration of industry, government, and academia. With Sharjah’s University City as a backbone for collaboration and research, we thrive to build an ecosystem that aims to generate innovation , nurture talents and foster an engaging community of like-minded people from over 150 leading academic institutions, companies and start-ups who connect, work and thrive in the SRTI Park.
