Pearl Mthembu

Pearl Mthembu is a skilled professional in the animation industry with a comprehensive background in 3D artistry and technical direction. Currently serving as a Character Technical Director at Sharkmob since November 2022, Pearl has previously held key roles including 3D Production Supervisor at Katanimate Animation Studio (Pty) Ltd and 3D Artist positions at Rooftop Productions. Additional experience includes leading as a 3D Artist/Rigger at The Flying Circus and contributing as a Rigger/Animator and VFX Artist at Triggerfish Animations. Pearl's career began as an Animator/Rigger at DepthVFX, and educational credentials include a Diploma in Creative Multimedia with a focus on Animation from the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (Nemisa).
