Chase Franzen

Chase Franzen has an extensive work experience spanning various industries. Chase'smost recent role was as the Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer at Sharp HealthCare, where they oversaw the cybersecurity engineering, operations, and identity & access management teams. Prior to this, they served as the Director of IT Security at the same company. Chase also serves as a Board Member at the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE). Additionally, they have experience in the aviation industry as a Certificated Flight Instructor for the Federal Aviation Administration. Chase also has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Maverick's Wood Grill and Spoonbridge Development. In the finance sector, they worked at Wells Fargo as a Vice President in Investment Banking Capital Markets Technology and Corporate Information Security. Chase also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Rasmussen College and was a Managing Partner at Franz Technology Services, where they provided network design consulting and managed IT services. Early in their career, Chase worked as an External Business Strategy Consultant at General Mills and as a Senior Analyst & Project Manager at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.

Chase Franzen holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where they studied from 2002 to 2003. Chase later pursued an MBA with a focus on Finance and IS Management at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, completing their degree from 2005 to 2007. Alongside their formal education, Franzen has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2 in 2013 and the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in 2001. Chase also holds CompTIA certifications in i-Net+, Network+, and A+, all earned in 2001. Franzen recently obtained the Boardroom Certified Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) certification from the Digital Directors Network in 2022.
