Christy Decker-Weber

Christy Decker-Weber has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Christy began their career as a Senior Accountant/Payroll Manager at Copley Newspapers in 1998, where they worked until 2001. From 2002 to 2004, they served as an Audit Senior/Assistant Manager at KPMG Audit. In 2005, they joined Sharp HealthCare as the VP of Internal Audit.

Christy Decker-Weber has a Bachelor of Science and Arts degree in Accounting and Spanish from San Diego State University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998. In 1996 to 1997, they also attended Universidad de Granada. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the following: Certified Healthcare Internal Audit Professional from the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA) in 2019, Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2012, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in 2011, Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in 2008, Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2005, and Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy in 2004.
