Josh Reams

Josh Reams has extensive experience in community management and development. Josh began their career as a Department Manager at Target, where they provided excellent customer service and helped achieve sales goals. Josh then transitioned to a role as a Communications Intern for US Representative Bill Luther, where they wrote press releases and assisted with media initiatives.

Following this, Josh joined Concordia University as a Marketing Communications Associate/Intern, writing weekly newsletters and press releases. Josh later became the Coordinator of Community Relations, fostering relationships and maintaining the university's website.

In 2007, Josh joined Rockford, Inc. as a Property Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of condominium and townhome associations. Josh also managed vendor relationships and provided guidance to the Board of Directors.

Josh then joined Sharper Management as the Director of Business Development & Education, leading staff in preparing budgets and overseeing 70 associations. Josh also held the role of Associate Director of Community Management at the same company, responsible for supervising operations and managing budgets.

In 2019, Josh joined Associa as a Sr. Portfolio Manager, where they managed a variety of condominium and townhome associations. Josh coordinated vendors, facilitated board meetings, and provided financial and project management services.

Josh's leadership skills led to their appointment as the President of the Community Associations Institute - Minnesota Chapter in 2017. Currently, they are the Director of Community Management at Compass Management Group, Inc.

Josh Reams, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University-St. Paul, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Josh later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the same institution, completing it from 2004 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Josh acquired the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation from the Community Association Managers International Certification Board in April 2012. Josh also obtained the Association Management Specialist (AMS) certification from the Community Associations Institute, as well as the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) certification from the same institute in August 2019. Furthermore, Josh is a notary in the State of Minnesota, although the specific date of their certification is not provided.
