Kusay Al-Banna has over 20 years of professional experience. From 1996 to 2002, they were a University Lecturer at the University of Technology - Iraq. From 2002 to 2008, they were a Mechanical Engineer at Babil Engineering Consultation. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Flour Government Group. Since 2011, they have been with Sharpertek, where they have held the roles of Senior Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Vice President of Engineering. In their current role, they are responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Simulation Engineering Teams. Kusay also collaborates with Business Unit leaders, develops and implements methodology to track project metrics, and sets vision and executes strategic plans for engineering teams. Kusay is also responsible for budget management, developing standards and procedures to ensure quality standards are met, and driving continuous improvement in the product development process.
Kusay Al-Banna has a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology in Iraq from 1991 to 1995. Kusay then obtained a Master's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology in Iraq in 1998. Kusay furthered their education with a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Oakland University from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from Microsoft, including MCSA, MCNPS, MCITP, MCP, and MCTS, as well as an OSHA Certification from OSHA-Training.com.
