Jesse McFarland

Jesse McFarland began their work experience in 2001 as a Research Associate at Zyomyx. From 2003 to 2008, they worked as a Graduate Student at UC Berkeley, focusing on small molecule-protein bioconjugates. Following that, they joined Alexza Pharmaceuticals as a Research Associate, where they conducted organic chemistry research and performed HPLC analysis. In 2008, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at UCSF until 2013. From 2013 to 2018, Jesse served as a Senior Research Scientist at Catalent Biologics - West. In 2018, they joined Carmot Therapeutics as a Scientist. They then moved to Valitor, Inc. in 2019 and held the position of Director of Process Development until 2021. Currently, Jesse works at Shasqi as an Associate Director.

Jesse McFarland completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Chemistry at Cornell University from 1996 to 2000. Following that, from 2003 to 2008, Jesse pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley.
