Zach Dempsey is a seasoned criminal defense investigator currently employed by Shasta County since December 2021. In addition to this role, Zach serves as the Junior Vice Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) since February 2024, where responsibilities include presiding over meetings in the absence of other leaders and assisting in the management of the Post, along with leading social media strategies to enhance the organization's online presence. Previously, Zach held positions as a police officer for the City of South Salt Lake and Galveston Municipal Police, as well as roles in banking and security, culminating in military service as a Sergeant/Infantry Field Radio Operator in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2010 to 2015. Zach holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Capella University.
