Lauren Lawson-Zilai has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lauren is currently working as a Professional Advisor in PRSSA at American University since July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of Media and Public Relations at Shatterproof starting from June 2022.

Lauren has also worked as an Advisory Board and Contributing Writer for Ragan Communications and PR Daily from November 2021. In addition, they served as a Board of Advisors for the National Digital Roundtable, providing strategic advice to the organization since 2018.

Prior to these experiences, Lauren worked as a Publicity Manager at Eagle Publishing, where they promoted trade titles through media placements and partnerships. Lauren also worked as an Associate Publicist at Hachette Book Group, managing publicity campaigns for various book titles.

Lauren Lawson-Zilai completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature with a minor in Mass Communication from Lycoming College. Lauren attended Lycoming College from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their college education, Lauren also obtained additional certifications. In April 2016, they completed the Senior Leader Program from Goodwill Industries International. Furthermore, in January 2016, they obtained a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Education from BoardSource.
