Paul Went is the current Managing Director, Consumer at Shawbrook Bank. Prior to this position, Went held the title of Interim Treasury at Credit Suisse from June 2016 to July 2016. There, they were in charge of the Solvent Wind Down (Recovery & Resolution) Project. From March 2016 to July 2016, they were Interim Treasurer & Liquidity Risk Consultant at Wildcat Financial Limited. At Banco Itau BBA International SA, Went was Treasury Director from November 2011 to February 2016. There, they directed the Treasury function including funding, liquidity, FX and interest rate risk management strategy for the bank’s $8bn balance sheet, covering corporate, private and investment banking activities. Paul also led 4 person Treasury front office dealing team with a P&L generation in of $12m pa. and developed the bank’s first Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment (ILAA) as part of the bank’s authorisation in the UK in 2013. Lastly, they held the title of European Treasurer & Deputy Group Treasurer at Newedge Group from February 2010 to November 2011.

Paul Went has an MBA from the London Business School and a BSc in Physics from the University of York. Paul is also a certified ACT Council Member from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

They are on a team with Russ Thornton - CTO, Warren Mutch - Head of Speciality Finance, and Peter Chalmers - Senior Relationship Director. Their manager is Marcelino Castrillo, CEO.
