Yahaira Heller is an experienced professional with a diverse background in social work, arts management, and grant coordination. Currently serving as a Clinical Case Manager at Shawnee Health since August 2022, Yahaira utilizes bilingual Spanish skills to enhance healthcare access through resource sharing and outreach efforts. Involved as the Artistic Director for Southern Illinois Culture and Arts in Bilingual Education since August 2017, Yahaira also coordinated grants at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois from August 2021 to February 2022, ensuring compliance and managing budgets. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern Illinois University, along with prior experience in security and student support roles.
Shawnee Health
Shawnee Health Service is a comprehensive, coordinated network of community health centers and services located throughout Jackson and Williamson Counties. Shawnee provides Integrated Primary Medical and Behavioral Health care, including Addiction Medicine, Counseling, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, and Same Day. In addition, we provide Behavioral Health Care, Nutrition/Dietary Counseling, OB/GYN Care, and Weight Management. We also provide both General and Pediatric Dentistry. Shawnee currently has nine medical providers, seven dentists, and sixteen mid-levels providers. Since our beginning in 1971, Shawnee Health Service and Development Corporation has fostered the development of health and social services in southern Illinois.
