Heather Boos

Heather Boos is an experienced Early Childhood Special Education Teacher currently employed at Shawnee Heights USD 450 since July 2020. Previously, Heather served in the same role at Topeka Public Schools from August 2011 to May 2020, where responsibilities included creating a safe learning environment for children with varying developmental disabilities, including Autism and Down Syndrome. Earlier career experience includes working as a Paraeducator at Parkdale Preschool Center from October 2004 to May 2007, focusing on behavior modification and supporting educational activities. Heather holds a Bachelor of Education degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education from Washburn University, completed in 2011, and has foundational education from Benedictine College.
