Dean Morrison's work experience begins in 1997 at GE Capital, where they served as an Account Manager for IT Solutions. From there, they moved on to mcm entertainment in 1999 and became the Head of Digital Media for Austereo Mcm, where they led the creation of the top two music websites in Australia.

In 2001, Morrison became the MD/Company Director of Musicpoint Australia, an aggregated service that allowed record labels to deliver promotional music to radio stations. Dean successfully launched Musicpoint in Australia in October 2002.

Morrison then joined Siemens in 2006 as the Head of Sales for Music2You in Siemens Com. Music2You provided a turn-key hosted solution for the distribution of music content to consumers. Dean continued in a similar role as the Head of Division for Music2You at Nokia Siemens Networks in 2007.

In 2009, Morrison became the VP of Business Development at IMImobile, a strategic partner to the Mobile Network Operator industry. Dean transferred to IMImobile when Nokia Siemens Networks transferred their Music2You business to the company.

Starting in 2016, Morrison took on the role of Director - UK at Crowd Mobile. The end date for this position is listed as September 2022.

In 2018, Morrison became the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at Hay Limited, where they worked on creating a faster, better, and more flexible payments system. This system aimed to connect various types of businesses and integrate payments and banking options into their product offerings.

Morrison's most recent position is as the Chief Strategy Officer at Shaype, where they are responsible for building a flexible platform that addresses the challenges faced by financial institutions. The platform aims to harmonize fragmented systems, drive innovation, and empower financial institutions to create transformative customer experiences.

Dean Morrison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Melbourne between 1988 and 1991. Before that, they completed their VCE (HSC) - Year 12 in Math Science at Caulfield Grammar School from 1986 to 1987. Later, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a General Business Stream at Swinburne University of Technology from 1998 to 1999. Finally, they obtained an MBA from Melbourne Business School from 2000 to 2001.
