John Øfstegaard

John Øfstegaard has extensive work experience in the IT sector. John is currently the Global Head of IT at Shearwater GeoServices since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Firstpoint AS from 2018 to 2022, holding multiple roles including Head of IT-Services, Head of PMO, and Senior Consultant. Before their time at Firstpoint AS, John worked at G2 Ocean as an IT Specialist from 2017 to 2018. John also served as a System Software Analyst at Grieg Star from 2004 to 2018. Earlier in their career, John held IT-related roles at Ementor, Eterra, DNB, PLS Læringsentralen, and TV 2. Additionally, they worked as a Vekter at Nokas Group AS from 1992 to 1999.

John Øfstegaard's education history includes:

- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, obtained from 1998 to 2002.

- Pre-Engineering studies from The Norwegian School of Information Technology, completed from 1996 to 1997.
