Massimo Virgilio has a diverse work experience in the technology and oil & gas industry. Massimo currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Shearwater GeoServices, where they are responsible for leading the technology, engineering, and R&D business units. Prior to this, they worked at Schlumberger in various roles, including as the Digital Transition and Services Manager, where they focused on market positioning and business development of digital transition services. Massimo also served as the Managing Director for Research for Digital Technology, where they led research activities for digital portfolio across Schlumberger Segments. Before joining Schlumberger, Massimo Virgilio worked as the Vice President of Schlumberger WesternGeco and the Manager of Schlumberger Electromagnetics, where they managed consultancy and subsurface characterization services. Massimo also had experience as an R&D Project Manager at WesternGeco and Production Manager at Geosystem. Massimo Virgilio started their career as a Researcher at Politecnico di Milano.
Massimo Virgilio completed their Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Milano from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Maturità Scientifica degree in Maths and Physics from Liceo Scientifico between 1994 and 1999.
