Allen Lapointe

Allen LaPointe currently serves as Vice President of Environmental Operations at Shedd Aquarium, overseeing building operations and contributing to executive leadership roles at one of the world's largest aquariums. With a career beginning in 2000, previous roles include Vice President of Environmental Quality, Director of Environmental Quality, Director of Water Systems & Analysis, Manager of Water Quality, and Senior Water Quality Chemist. In addition to responsibilities at Shedd Aquarium, Allen serves on various committees focused on water management and conservation, including the Rivers of Illinois Coordinating Quality and the Science Advisory Committee for the Lt Governor of Illinois. Allen holds a B.S. in Aquatic Zoology and Chemistry from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
