Colin MacIver

Colin Maciver is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the Vice Chair of Surgery and Consultant Maxillofacial/Head and Neck Surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City since August 2018. Colin also holds the position of Medical Director of IT at SSMC/Mayo Clinic and serves as Chair of Surgical Oncology at Khalifa University, where Colin has been an Adjunct Professor of Surgery since April 2021. Previously, Colin worked as a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon and Lead Clinician at the Regional Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, UK, from November 2012 to October 2020, alongside an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer role at the University of Glasgow. Colin’s education includes multiple fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Glasgow, an MBChB from The University of Manchester, a BDS from the University of Dundee, and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.
