Yahya Aliabadi Ph.D., Pe

Yahya Aliabadi, PhD, PE has extensive work experience in the field of structural engineering. Yahya began their career at Gohar-Sakht Engineers Co. as a Project Engineer in 1991 and then joined Beton Consulting Engineers Corporation as a Structural Engineer and Project Manager in 1997. Yahya continued their career at HRA Structural Engineers as a Structural Engineer and Project Manager from 2004 to 2007. Afterwards, they worked at Meyer Consulting Engineers Corporation as a Sr. Structural Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Yahya then joined Bechtel Power Corporation as a Sr. Structural Engineer, where they were responsible for engineering design and calculations for various power plant, industrial, and transportation projects. Currently, Yahya Aliabadi is working as the Chief Structural Engineer at Sheladia Associates Inc.

Yahya Aliabadi, PhD, PE has a strong educational background in civil engineering. Yahya obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures from the University of Maryland. Yahya also holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Project Management from the same institution. Prior to their studies in the United States, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 1991.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Yahya Aliabadi has obtained several Professional Engineer (PE) licenses. Yahya is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Maryland since January 2007, in West Virginia since 2010, in New Jersey and Pennsylvania since 2013, in the District of Columbia since April 2008, and in Virginia since July 2008. These certifications further highlight their expertise and professional qualifications in the field of civil engineering.
