Andrea Estey is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in education, content development, and strategic marketing. Currently serving as the Education Communications Manager at Shelburne Farms since September 2021, Andrea also maintains freelance roles as a writer, reporter, and content developer. Previous positions include Creative Director and Digital Content Strategist at the University of Vermont, where leadership of creative and digital teams resulted in the production of impactful editorial content and innovative social media strategies. Andrea's earlier roles encompass copywriting at Kelliher Samets Volk, digital content writing at Boston University, and communications for City Year, Inc., earning recognition with the Idealism in Action Award in 2011. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising, graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 2010.
Shelburne Farms
A 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to education for sustainability, integrated with a 1,400-acre working farm and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain. We advance education for sustainability and farm-to-school initiatives in Vermont, nationally, and internationally through our programs and partnerships, including our Sustainable Schools Project, partnership in Vermont FEED, Northeast Regional Lead for the National Farm to School Network, as backbone organization of the Farm-based Education Network, and more.
