Leslie Knighten

Leslie Knighten has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, primarily in the education sector. From 1998 to 2013, they worked at Memphis City Schools in various roles including Budget Coordinator, Senior Accountant, Accountant, and Finance Clerk II. During their time there, they managed a budget of $898 million, handled journal entries and general ledger accounts, and supported departmental managers. In 2015, Leslie joined Memphis-Shelby County Schools as the Director of Accounting & Reporting.

Leslie Knighten attended Bastrop High School for their high school education. Leslie later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting at the University of Memphis (U of M) and earned a Master of Science degree in AIT from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
