Amik st-Cyr

Amik St-Cyr is a highly experienced computational scientist with a focus on seismic imaging and computational modeling. Currently serving as the Principal Computational Science Lead within the Exascale Seismic Software Team at Shell, Amik St-Cyr is responsible for the parallelization and acceleration of wave propagators in the company's seismic imaging software. Previous roles include Senior Researcher in Computation and Modeling at Royal Dutch Shell, where Amik St-Cyr explored and integrated emerging technologies, and Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, contributing to innovative numerical methods for climate and weather models. Educational achievements include a Postdoc in High-performance Computational Fluid Dynamics from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Université de Montréal, further complemented by various consulting roles and research positions in computational fluid dynamics and software development.
