James Reid is a highly experienced technical manager specializing in ester applications, currently leading a global team at Shell since June 2025. Prior to joining Shell, James worked at MIDEL & MIVOLT Fluids Ltd. and M&I Materials Limited from December 2023 to December 2023, playing a pivotal role in the transition following Shell's acquisition. James has extensive experience in management roles at Nynas AB and Thames Water, along with a significant background in process development at Acordis, where responsibilities included operation management and team leadership. James holds a Master of Science in Reliability Engineering & Safety Management from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
