Marieke Groenendaal

Marieke Groenendaal has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the General Manager Operations Support LNG at Shell since January 2010, and previously held roles including Technical Manager for Qatargas 4 and Team Lead for CO2 and Energy Efficiency. Prior to this, Marieke worked as a Principal Consultant in Carbon and Energy Management at Shell Global Solutions International from 2008 to 2009, and from 2001 to 2008 held multiple positions at Shell, including Health, Safety and Environmental Manager and Environmental Manager at the Pernis refinery. Earlier experience includes working in chemical plant operations at Shell from 1995 to 2000. Marieke holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and completed VWO at Haags Montessori Lyceum.
