Stewart Torrance

Stewart Torrance is an Energy Commercial Leader and Corporate Strategy professional currently managing the implementation and startup of the Shell HEFA plant in Pernis, Rotterdam. With a strong academic background, including an MBA with distinction and an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience, Stewart has 15 years of experience in upstream oil and gas across multiple countries. Previously, Stewart served as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Shell, where a rigorous problem-solving approach was applied to corporate and business-level challenges. They have also held roles such as Principal Geophysicist and Senior Exploration Geologist, leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving exploration projects in the oil and gas sector.
