Leonel Rivera has over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry. Leonel started their career at Long Island Jet Center in 1994 and worked their way up to become a Regional Director/General Manager, overseeing three regional FBOs. Leonel established collaborative relationships with staff and customers and played a key role in staff hiring and training. In 2006, Leonel joined Sheltair as a General Manager and later became a Regional Vice President and Senior Vice President of FBO Operations. Leonel was responsible for the operational and financial oversight of multiple bases, managing multimillion dollar budgets and assets, and partnering with key stakeholders.
Leonel Rivera has studied Business Management at Suffolk County Community College. Leonel has obtained several additional certifications, including "Fundamentals of Accounting & Finance," "Leading with Emotional Intelligence," "Presentation Skills," and "Recruiting, Interviewing & Selecting Employees." These certifications were obtained from the American Management Association, with varying obtained years between 2015 and 2017.
