Cindy Preuett Chambers

Cindy Preuett Chambers is a seasoned professional in homeless services and supportive housing, currently serving as the Residential Programs Manager at Shelter for Help in Emergency since March 2024. Prior to this role, Cindy worked as a Supportive Housing Technical Assistance Consultant, where responsibilities included researching HUD guidance and developing policies. As the Homeless Services Program Manager at Commonwealth Catholic Charities, Cindy managed multiple emergency shelter programs, oversaw staff, and handled grant reporting. Experience includes engaging in street outreach, leading crisis response efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, and coordinating services through various homeless initiatives. Cindy has also held positions in strategic communications for the Jewish War Veterans of the USA and as a case manager for Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta, showcasing a breadth of experience in advocacy, program management, and education. Cindy holds a Master of Teaching in Secondary Social Studies Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Classics from the University of Virginia.
