Shirag Shemmassian

Shirag Shemmassian has a long and varied career in the fields of psychology and education. In 2008, they began working as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, where they also served as a Teaching Assistant, Clinical Psychology Trainee, and Staff Research Associate. In 2011, they became a Guest Lecturer at USC and UCLA. In 2013, they became a Psychology Intern at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). That same year, they founded and became the CEO of Shemmassian Academic Consulting. In 2014, they took on the role of Project Director at WPS, and also became a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Crossroads Institute for Psychotherapy and Assessment. In 2016, they became a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Intricate Mind Institute.

Shirag Shemmassian obtained a B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University in 2008. Shirag then went on to obtain an M.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2010. In 2014, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology, and has a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
