Matthew Shepard

Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Structured Credit at Shenkman Capital

Matthew Shepard, CFA has a strong background in portfolio management and structured credit. Matthew began their career in 2002 as an Analyst in the Securitized Products Group at Deutsche Bank, where they worked until 2003. From 2004 to 2007, Shepard served as Vice President of Securitized Products at Tricadia Capital. Matthew then joined Deutsche Bank again in 2007 as an Associate and Portfolio Manager on the Proprietary Trading Desk, where they stayed until 2008. Following that, Shepard worked at Arbitrage LLC as an Options Trader and Market Maker from 2008 to 2011. Matthew then transitioned to Lord Abbett, where they held the role of Portfolio Manager for CLOs, Non-Agency/Subprime RMBS, and ABS from 2011 to 2014. Currently, Shepard is employed at Shenkman Capital Management, where they hold the position of Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Structured Credit, a role they have been in since October 2014.

Matthew Shepard, CFA graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
