Joseph Perehinec has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Joseph started their career as a Youth Camp Counselor at YMCA from 2001 to 2004. Joseph then worked as a Store Manager at Walgreens from 2005 to 2006. After that, they became a Territory Sales Representative at Case New Holland for a short period of time in 2006. Joseph joined Cintas in 2007 as a Uniform Sales Representative, where they aggressively sold uniform and facility service programs and implemented selling strategies for a large rural territory. In 2010, they joined Sprint as an Account Executive, managing and driving sales in multiple markets and training sales teams in retail and indirect locations. Finally, they joined Shentel in 2014, starting as an Indirect Sales Manager and progressing to the role of Director of Sales in 2021. At Shentel, they cultivated the prepaid business, increased branded stores and revenue, and provided a high level of consumer experience to various communities.

Joseph Perehinec attended Penn Cambria High School from 1997 to 2001. Joseph then went on to study Business Marketing and Economics at Saint Vincent College, earning a BA degree from 2001 to 2005.
