Joshua Thompson

Joshua Thompson has extensive work experience in accounting and audit roles. Joshua is currently serving as the Director of Accounting at Shentel since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of Internal Audit at WGL from 2017 to 2021. Joshua also worked as a Senior Auditor at GEICO from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in their career, Joshua held positions as a Senior Accountant at Bowling Franklin LLP from 2013 to 2014 and at RFCA from 2012 to 2013. Joshua started their career as a Staff Accountant at GEICO and worked there from 2005 to 2012.

Joshua Thompson, CPA has a BA degree in Economics and Business from Virginia Military Institute, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Joshua also holds a Masters degree with an Accounting concentration from the University of Mary Washington, which they obtained from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Public Accountant.
