Samuel Murphy

Samuel Murphy has a diverse work experience, with roles ranging from Chief Executive Officer to Board Director in various pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Samuel started their career in PriceSpective as a Director in 2011 and then worked as a Senior Principal in IMS Consulting Group from 2012 to 2016. In 2014, they became the Managing Director of IMS Health Capital, Inc., where they specialized in investment banking services for the life sciences industry. Samuel then moved on to become the Managing Partner of BioPharma Capital, Inc. in 2016. In 2017, Samuel joined Salubris Biotherapeutics as the Chief Business Officer and later became the Chief Executive Officer in November 2020. Samuel also served as a VP and Head of International Business Development in Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals Co.,LTD in 2017. Additionally, they held positions as a Board Director in GO Therapeutics, Viracta Therapeutics, Inc., and MedAlliance SA, as well as a Board Observer in Mercator MedSystems, Inc. throughout their career.

Samuel Murphy received their B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Samuel then pursued their Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology/Virology at the same institution from 2000 to 2004.
