Philip Sewell

Philip Sewell is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial disputes and regulation. Currently serving as a Partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn since November 2017, Philip advises on a wide range of contentious commercial matters, including insurance, professional negligence, and health and safety issues. Prior to this role, Philip was a Partner at Maclay Murray & Spens LLP, where management of litigation across various sectors including insurance and financial services was a key focus. Philip also led the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Unit at McClure Naismith for six years, overseeing both large-scale and smaller arbitrations and mediations. Earlier experience includes eight years as an Assistant Solicitor/Associate at Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP, specializing in insurance litigation. Philip obtained an LLB (Hons) from the University of Leeds and completed legal studies at The University of Law.
