Richard Turnbull is a partner in the property and infrastructure team at Shepherd and Wedderburn, where Richard has been since January 2020, specializing in the development, sale, acquisition, and funding of energy projects across Scotland and England and Wales. Richard's expertise encompasses various energy transactions, including the development of wind farms, solar projects, hydro projects, battery storage, gas peaking sites, energy from waste projects, large-scale biomass, district heating schemes, electric vehicle infrastructure, private wire/Corporate PPA projects, and grid infrastructure. Prior to their current role, Richard served as a partner at TLT and held senior associate positions at Pinsent Masons and CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. Richard began their career at Burges Salmon LLP as a solicitor/associate after completing a training period at Brodies LLP. Richard holds a Dip LP in Law from Glasgow Graduate School of Law and an LL.B Hons in Law from the University of Strathclyde.
