Sherman Independent School District
Heath Wester currently serves as the Chief of Police for Sherman Independent School District, a position held since September 2021, and also acts as the Legislative Liaison for the Texas School District Police Chiefs’ Association since June 2023. With a longstanding career in law enforcement, Wester has held various leadership roles within the Texas Municipal Police Association, including Past President and President, and has served as the Lieutenant at Grayson County Sheriff from January 2018 to September 2021, overseeing the Patrol Division and Special Response Team. Wester's experience includes a tenure as a Detective in the Major Crimes Unit in the City of Grand Prairie and a Deputy Sheriff at Grayson County Sheriff's Department. An alumnus of Tabor College, Wester’s commitment to policing has also extended to supporting the well-being of officers during time as Association President in the Grand Prairie Police Department.
