Xabi Uribe-Etxebarria

Founder & CEO at Sherpa

Xabi Uribe-Etxebarria is a serial entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Sherpa (the predictive Virtual Personal Assistant based on strong AI algorithms). Xabi, studied an MSc as an Industrial and Organizational Engineer and Technical Industrial Engineer (Specializing in Electronic Engineering) and further specializations such as the EDP at MIT (Sloan Management School), Negotiation at Monterrey TEC, MBI at Deusto Business School and Digital Marketing at Harvard Business School.

Xabi was studying for a PhD in Natural Language Processing when he decided to instead build his first company, Anboto Group, a web-based customer service platform based on NLP. He holds a comprehensive U.S. patent for interactive data query systems.

Passionate about design and engineering, he is near completing a master’s degree in Architecture.

Xabi has been awarded a number of prizes and honors, including featuring on the TR35, an annual list published by MIT Technology Review naming the world's top innovators under the age of 35. He was also included on the “Top 100 of the Year” list published by the newspaper EL PAÍS and highlighting the 100 most influential people in the Spanish-American world. The list also included personalities such as the King and Prince of Spain, Hugo Chaves (President of Venezuela), Enrique Peña Nieto (President of Mexico), Sofía Vergara (Actress), among others. Xabi is also a keynote speaker at the world's biggest technology events.
