Lynette Soobramoney

Lynette Soobramoney is a highly qualified professional with extensive experience in the fields of chemistry and technology development. Currently serving as Technical Manager - R&D at Sherwin-Williams since March 2025, Lynette previously held the position of Technology Development Manager - Polymers at NCS South Africa (Pty) Ltd. from September 2020 to March 2025. Lynette has also contributed to academia as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from February 2018 to August 2020, and as a Subject Specialist at Studiosity during the same period. Additional teaching roles at the University of KwaZulu-Natal include Chemistry Demonstrator, Student Lecturer for inorganic chemistry, and Lecturer for Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Educationally, Lynette has attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry, a Master of Science (MSc) (cum laude) in Inorganic Chemistry, and a BSc Honours (cum laude) in Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, complemented by a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry and Microbiology.
