Vinny Fry

Vinny Fry is a Senior R&D Technical Manager at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, overseeing the development of high-temperature superconducting electromagnet systems for the SPARC fusion reactor. Previously, Vinny served as Technical Lead in R&D at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, contributing to the design and construction of the Toroidal Field Model Coil, achieving a magnetic field of 20T. Experience includes roles as Additive Manufacturing Specialist at Protolabs, Associate Engineer at SpaceX, and Student Lab Manager at Duke Innovation CoLab. Vinny holds a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, with initial studies in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University.
