Piper Crawford, EIT, currently serves as a Civil Design Engineer II at Sherwood Design Engineers, having advanced from the role of Civil Design Engineer I since September 2021. Prior experience includes contributions as an Assistant Civil Engineer at the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District from July 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities encompassed evaluating renewable energy opportunities, leading greenhouse gas emissions inventory efforts, and assisting with improvements at historical properties. Additional roles included an Engineer Architect Student Intern position with the same district, focusing on development planning and administrative tasks, and an Assistant Manager role at 3rd & U Café. Piper's early internship experience at Granite Construction involved data management and environmental problem-solving. Education was completed at the University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2020, preceded by a high school diploma from Chaparral High School in 2016.

Sherwood Design Engineers is a site civil engineering practice committed to the optimal integration of ecology, infrastructure, and design. Our headquarter is in San Francisco with Offices and Studios located in San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Petaluma, and Santa Cruz. We specialize in water management strategies and water resources engineering. We document site infrastructure as well as master plan engineering solutions at a campus, neighborhood, and district scale. Important to our engineering practice is our ability to span building and landscape.
