Sinead Sharkey-Steenson

Sinead Sharkey-Steenson has extensive experience in leadership development, coaching, and business improvement. Starting in 2001 at Bombardier Aerospace, they worked as a Senior Business Analyst, implementing HR ERP systems and leading cultural transformation processes. Sinead also served as a Six Sigma Black Belt, implementing process improvement projects. In 2008, they became the Transformation Development Manager, focusing on cultural transformation and change management. Sinead then joined Bombardier as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, leading the implementation of a Business Improvement System and coaching leaders and teams. In 2010, they joined CREATE EXPRESS LTD as a Senior Associate Consultant, delivering leadership and management programs. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Bombardier Aerospace again, leading improvement projects and managing change. In 2016, they founded Sinead Sharkey Consulting, where they focused on leadership development, wellbeing, and change management. Sinead also joined Generation Women as a Director, providing coaching and career guidance. In 2019, they became the Director of Career Reboot Ltd, where they aimed to support returners by providing access to knowledge and skills through a community and events. Additionally, they worked with the Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation as the Regional Leader of Female Entrepreneur NI Network, delivering a leadership development program.

Sinead Sharkey-Steenson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Queen's University Belfast between 1994 and 1997. Sinead then pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Ulster University from 2004 to 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sinead has obtained several certifications. Sinead completed the Lean In Network Leadership Development Programme from the Center for Creative Leadership in February 2022. In December 2021, they obtained the Positive Intelligence Advanced Practitioner certification from Positive Intelligence. Sinead achieved the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation in April 2020. Sinead also holds the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from BOMBARDIER, which they obtained in April 2009. Sinead is a certified NLP Master Practitioner from the Society of NLP, obtained in 2011. Furthermore, Sinead has completed a certification in Human Resource Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, although the exact date of completion is not specified.
