Manas Menon

Manas Menon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in engineering and management. Manas currently holds the position of Vice President of Production and Supply Chain at Shield AI, a role they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Operations and Automation Engineering at Shield AI from October to December 2021. From March to October 2021, they served as the Director of Operations and Automation Engineering at the same company. Before moving into operations, they held the role of Director of Engineering from June 2018 to March 2021, and prior to that, they were the Lead System and Hardware Engineer from January 2017 to June 2018.

Before joining Shield AI, they worked as an Engineering Consultant and owner of Menon Development from January 2014 to January 2017. Manas also served as the Chief Technical Officer at Glissade Dental from November 2014 to July 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Development Engineer at Lantos Technologies from September 2013 to February 2014 and as a Program Engineer at the same company from September 2010 to June 2013.

Manas Menon's work experience also includes a role as a Graduate Student and Research Assistant at MIT from September 2004 to August 2011. Additionally, they founded and managed C.R.E.S.T. LLC from July 2010 to July 2011.

Manas Menon earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1999 to 2003. Manas then pursued their education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained two Master of Science (S.M.) degrees, one in Mechanical Engineering and another in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 2004 to 2008. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2010. Before their university studies, they participated in the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Mathematics Program from 1994 to 1999.
