Rock Braud

Rock Braud is an experienced software engineering leader with a focus on avionics and embedded systems. Currently serving as the Director of VBAT Software at Shield AI since August 2022, Rock leads a multi-disciplinary team in developing advanced avionics for the VBAT medium-size Group 3 VTOL UAV. Rock’s prior roles include Embedded Software Manager at L3Harris Technologies and Avionics Software Manager at Boeing, where responsibilities encompassed managing diverse engineering teams and developing critical software for unmanned aerial vehicle systems. With a solid educational background including an MSEE from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSEE from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Rock has extensive expertise in software development, systems integration, and certification processes across various high-profile companies.
