Scott Newby dip(AML)

Scott Newby dip(AML) has worked in the financial services industry since 2004. Starting as a Relationship Manager at RBS Invoice Finance in 2004, they then completed a six-month secondment to PwC's Business Recovery Unit in 2006. In 2007, they were promoted to Head of Business Controls at RBS Invoice Finance, and in 2014 they were appointed Head of Business Controls at RBS, covering Invoice Finance, Lombard Asset Finance, and Transaction Services. In 2017, they were appointed Head of Compliance & MLRO at Greensill (In Administration), and in 2021, they were appointed Head of Compliance & MLRO at Shieldpay. During their time in these roles, they have been responsible for the design and implementation of the Financial Crime, Operational Risk and Compliance frameworks, as well as building and leading the AML/Compliance and Operational Risk teams.

Scott Newby holds a BA Hons in Business Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University, which they obtained in 1998. Scott also holds an ICA International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering from Alliance Manchester Business School, which they obtained in 2019.
